SRAC Presents: Native Indian Stone Tools

Net Stones

The Native Indians in our area ate fish they caught in our local rivers and streams. One of the ways they caught enough fish to feed their families, was by using nets. The nets were placed in the water and weighted down with these net stones so that the net would sink in the water. The fish swimming in the stream would get caught in the net and the Native Indians just had to pull in their nets with the fish and take them home to make for a meal.
