The Susquehanna River Archaeological Center (SRAC) is located at 345 Broad Street, Waverly, NY. Is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the education, research and preservation of the prehistoric and early historic archaeological record of our region. We do this by:

1.) preserving artifacts that have been collected by local collectors and displaying them for the public education within our museum

2.) providing educational programs

3.) providing public archaeology experiences for our members and college internships to archaeological students

4.) providing approved researchers access to collections, books, maps, photos  and journals for their research needs

5.) researching and excavating archaeological sites in our region in order to further understand our local prehistoric past

6.) publishing our work for NYS and PA Archaeology conferences and journals

Our museum is open 1 – 5 pm Tuesdays through Fridays and Saturdays 11-4pm. Our gift shop includes the largest historical and archaeological book selection in the area as well as rare rocks and minerals, kids learning toys, and jewelry, pottery and and many unique museum gifts!  Stop in today and see why SRAC is the best kept secret in the Twin Tier region!

SRAC is dedicated to education, research and preservation of the region’s archaeological and historical Native American assets for the communities within the Twin Tier Region of Southeastern NY and Northeastern PA.
